BMBB College was established in the year 2001. This is a non-governmental affiliated degree college under Gauhati University. Late Binod Malla Buzar Baruah, in whose name the college was established was an eminent social worker of western part of Guwahti. In the beginning he devoted himself in numerous social and educational activities in his native village Chandkuchi in Nalbari. Later he shifted to Guwahati.
  Keeping in mind his hope and aspirations to develop educational facilities of the highest order for the younger genereration, his illustrious daughter Miss Kamala Malla Buzar Baruah, who is an experienced school-teacher herself started the Modern English High School (Co-education) in the year 1986.
    Inspired by the huge success of this venture later in 2001, she started the BMBB Junior Commerce College in the name of her father. Her stride to success in this field is flavoured with an urge to serve selflessly, educate the young and innovate.
    In both of these attempts, a good number of senior educationists, administrators and social workers offered their valuable suggestions from time to time.
     In the year 2006, BMBB Junior Commerce College became affiliated by Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.
  In the year 2008, B.Com classes have also been started in this college.
    Soon after, in the year 2012, BMBB Degree Commerce College also became affiliated by Gauhati University.
    All this has become possible because of the hard work, efficiency and farsightedness of Miss Kamala Malla Buzar Baruah
    Our college has a group of excellent and dedicated teachers.
    The College has a well-stocked library for the students and teachers.
